Brand Management and the Marketing Mix Model
Question: What exactly is your product and how is it different from (or better than) other similar products? Where will you sell your product? Who are the potential buyers of the product and how does that price compare to similar products being offered? How will you let others know about your product, and how will you develop its presentation to appropriate markets? Answer: I choose to sell organic soap as it is 100% natural and not synthetic. The soap shall be sold in retail stores, cosmetic shops, and pharmacies. The potential buyers of the product are men and women belonging to 20-40 age groups present everywhere (Cain, 2014). I shall follow competitive pricing strategy at $9 as there is direct competition from other brands such as Dove, Lux and various others (Heerde et al., 2013). Hoardings and television advertisements shall help in presenting the product. References Cain, P. (2014). The article can be found in The Wall Street Journal. This article is clearly related to the concepts and topics covered in the textbook, generally Diversity. This paper provides a short article report.Summary of the articleà à à à à à à à à à à The article ââ¬Å"Women Penalized for Promoting Women, Study Findsâ⬠by Rachel Feintzeig discusses one of the most significant issues in the field of Human Resources ââ¬â the issue of diversity in the workplace. The author provides the results of several studies that were focused on the analysis of diversity issues in the workplace. According to researchers, ââ¬Å"the negative stereotyping is a result of perceived self-interestâ⬠(Feintzeig, 2014, para.7). Recent study on diversity shows t hat dedication to diversity can become a liability for employees in the workplace. According to researchers of the University of Colorado, ââ¬Å"women and non-whites executives who push for women and non-whites to be hired and promoted suffer when it comes to their own performance reviewsâ⬠(Feintzeig, 2014, para.2). It has been found that women who promote other women up to the higher positions are perceived as ââ¬Å"less warmâ⬠, and those non-white female employees who promote diversity in the workplace can be regarded by their bosses as ââ¬Å"less competentâ⬠employees. Recent research shows that those who promote diversity and womenââ¬â¢s rights are not valued by their bosses. Undoubtedly, this issue is an issue of concern for our society. The author of the research David Hekman believes that women are often penalized for promoting other women in the workplace.Relevancy to the course materialThis article is relevant to the course as it demonstrates what is ha ppening in the real world, providing an opportunity to see inconsistency of what is learned in the classroom with real life situations occurring in the workplace. Many organizations violate the established rules and regulations regarding the promotion of diversity in the workplace. It is an issue of concern for our nation because American nation is diverse. According to J. M. Bumsted (2003), ââ¬Å"we think of the United Sates as the nation of peoples, with some describing it as a mosaic, a stew, an orchestra, and even yet as a melting potâ⬠(p.13). It is wrong to penalize women for promoting other women. Actually, government should pay more attention to what is happening in organizations. Specific policies should address the issues of diversity in the workplace in order to prevent stereotyping and prejudices, which lead to the acts of discrimination in the workplace.Researchersââ¬â¢ reaction to the articleà à à à à à à à à à à Researchersââ¬â¢ reac tion to the article is adequate. The researchers, who were involved in the study of diversity in the workplace, carried out several experiments that proved the existence of race-related problems in the workplace. Researchers are interested in finding the proper arguments that can prove the necessity to address these issues. According to Hekman, many companies ââ¬Å"might be able to curb this deterrent to diversity by swapping the ââ¬Å"diversityâ⬠label with a more neutral term like ââ¬Å"demographic-unselfishnessâ⬠. Besides, many researchers recommend selecting a white male to manage corporate diversity issues in order to avoid misunderstandings and violations of womenââ¬â¢s rights .

Describe the evidence for environmental changes since the Last Coursework
Describe the evidence for environmental changes since the Last Interglacial (Marine Isotope Stage 5e, approximately 130,000 year - Coursework Example With such information in mind, it is then relevant to discuss such issues in this paper. This being the key points of this paper, the research question is: what is the evidence for environmental change in the tropical since the last interglacial? The tropical region history The tropic is a region on the earth surrounding the equator. The region is commonly found at the northern hemisphere at latitude 23.4378? N on the tropic of cancer and it is also found at the southern hemisphere at latitude 23.4378? S on the tropic of Capricorn. The tropical region is a place where the sub solar point is reached by the sun. A sub solar point is a region where the sun is directly overhead the equator which happens once in a year. There is a direct distinction between the tropics and other climatic and biomatic regions of the earth, with the latitudes that appear in the middle and the Polar Regions on a different side of the equatorial zone Climate distribution of the tropical The tropic has its own climate distribution that may be different to other geographical areas. The tropics sometimes can be used generally to refer to a tropical climate which means that the area has warm to hot and moist all year round, additionally there is the sense of lush vegetation. Most of the tropical regions experience dry and wet seasons where the wet season or rainy season or the green season has an occurrence in that it covers only one to several months that is if the average annual rainfall drops in the region. It is believed that the areas having wet seasons are exposed to dissemination across the tropics and the subtropics. A wet season month is one month that that experiences an average precipitation of about 60 millimetres as per the classification of Koppen in the tropical regions. However the tropical rainforests on a technical bench do not experience wet or dry seasons on grounds that their rainfall is distributed equally throughout the year. It is noted that some areas which experien ce prolonged rainfall are subjected to breaks in rainfall during mid-season that is if the intertropical convergence zone or monsoon trough gain a movement towards the pole ward of their original location during the middle of the warm season. Facts depict that if the warm season or the summer season experience wet season then precipitation will occur mainly in the late afternoons or in the early evening hours. The wet season is a season where there is an improvement in the quality of air; also there is an improvement in water quality while the vegetation grows significantly thus causing late yield of crop in the season. Floods cause a huge effect both on the environment and the habitants of the area. It is depicted that there are overflows in the river banks and the animals move to a higher ground while there is loss of soil nutrients and increase in soil erosion. During these harsh conditions, the animals design a survival strategy for them to survive along the harsh conditions of wet seasons. It is unfortunate that there are identified food shortages in to the wet season that is brought by the previous dry seasons since the crops are yet to mature. It is not obvious that regions found in the tropics have a tropical climate. Such regions include the snow-capped peaks which include the Mauna Kea not forgetting the Mount Kilimanjaro and additionally the Andes. Other regions also include the northern parts of Chile and Argentina. Tropical ecosystem Apart from the tropical climate, the tropical

Such attention is important for all types of internal controls, because of the factors that affect security are constantly changing in today's dynamic environment. Managing the increased risks associated with a highly interconnected computing environment demands increased central coordination to ensure that weaknesses in one organizational unit's systems do not place the entire organization's information assets at undue risk. Security managers on the other hand, should filter what senior managers see, and even before that, ensure they only collect information someone both cares about and takes responsibility, for Security managers need to easily position information in the context of risk policy, policy enforcement, and related business imperatives. Risk assessments improve business managers' ability to make decisions on controls needed in the absence of quantified risk assessment results, and engender support for policies and controls adopted, thus helping to ensure that policies and controls would operate as intended. Through the reporting procedure, business managers take responsibility for either tolerating or mitigating security risks associated with their operations. And such procedures provide a relatively quick and consistent means of exploring risk with business managers, selecting cost-effective controls, and documenting conclusions and business managers' acceptance of final determinations regarding what controls were needed and what risks could be tolerated. ...global exposure and strategic planning...
